Strange... but maybe not...

Synopsis: Lonely and looking to reignite old friendships, mousy Sugar invites three friends from her college days to take a week’s vacation at a beach house on the North Carolina shore. Very good series, love it! If you ask me what happened in ep6 should have happened in ep1 as there is nothing more amazing (to watch and live) like sex with love and when (finally) Frankie and Cat do what we were waiting since the beginning it was beautiful to watch and feel. Besides nothing beats a "sober" (no alcohol, no drugs, no expectations, no nothing... but love) re-encounter. Gosh I like it very much and really hope they do series 2... and three, four, and more. But realistically at least as many as Sugar Rush! LOL!

Highly recommend the series.

Just finished watching ep1 and yes is interesting plus has very good production values, so definitively is must be seen... Love the accent and drama starts from the very first episode plus sex scenes are good. Hope it has many episodes, but I know UK series have 6 to 8 eps. Check series info here.

Finally TODAY was the premiere!!! Reviews are not positive, but for some quite dumb reason reviewers keep comparing new shows to the The L Word. We should watch this show with fresh eyes and open to new stories... This is the official facebook page for the show. LOL! no surprise, seems viewers like it!!! Gosh, hope to watch ASAP!!!

Laura Fraser, Ruta Gedmintas and Fiona Button have been cast as the three female lead roles in Lip Service, a bold new drama for BBC Three about the sex lives and love affairs of twenty-something lesbians living in contemporary Glasgow.

The six-part series, which was filmed in Glasgow in October, was written and created by Harriet Braun.

Harriet says of the series: "Based on my own experiences and those of my friends, I wanted to write a sexy, funny and irreverent drama that reflects what it is to be a young gay woman living in Britain today.

"I loved The L Word but it's high time we saw some contemporary British lesbians, with all the bad weather, trips to the pub and repressed emotions that go with that. It will be as funny as it is pathos filled, because in my experience that's how life is."

Ruta Gedmintas plays Frankie, an irreverent and provocative photographer who avoids commitment at all turns; Laura Fraser plays Cat – Frankie's former lover, who may not be as immune to Frankie's charms as she professes to be; and Fiona Button plays Tess – Cat's best friend and flatmate who has an uncanny knack of attracting all the wrong sorts of women.

As well as the three lead roles, major supporting roles in Lip Service include Roxanne McKee as Lou, Emun Elliott as Jay, Heather Peace as Sam, James Anthony Pearson as Ed and Tom Mannion as Frankie's uncle Cameron, amongst others.

I've been "out-of-circulation" for a while but yesterday I found Las Aparicio and couldn't stop watching until I watched the complete 40 something episodes! To me it's truly amazing that they have a series (they called series but to me is more like a soapy soap opera lol!) like this one on Mexico TV! not only because the lesbian relationship but because all the female important subjects that they touch in a 'positive' way, themes that are always portrait negatively on Mexican TV or worst, never spoken/acknowledged ... until now.

I watched only the clips with Marianna and Julia, but now I wish to watch the complete episodes as I'm really curious about the other characters, especially Julia's beautiful sisters.

The series is shown daily on weekdays and the last episode I saw they talk about Hurricane Alex doing disasters up north... so they have to be taping not long before airing... see, it's a soap!!! lol!!

According to what I read this documentary-fiction talks about the life conditions for lesbians in Iran. The film has been released in England and is in the news because the main actress Kiana Firouz is about to be deported from England back to Iran and there is a campaign to help her stay. After I have seen what's going on in Cannes, I certainly don't doubt a minute that she'll be in trouble if she goes back to Iran. If you want to learn about this case please go here.
